We're Rachel & Matt.

In June 2016 we said goodbye to our London home and flew 10,500 miles to Australia. Two months later, we created Across Land & Sea to update our friends and family on what we were up to. Since then, our website has become increasingly popular within the travel community, experiencing consistent growth and social media engagement.

We describe ourselves as balanced travellers; we have a modest budget that we allocate carefully to ensure we rarely miss out on things that we love. This means that we set aside funds for activities that may be too expensive for the $20-a-day budget traveller, such as a helicopter ride over the Great Barrier Reef. It means that our nights in hostels and street food dinners will be occasionally swapped with short stays in luxury hotels and the odd meal at a Worlds 50 Best restaurant.

Ultimately, we enjoy inspiring people to make their own journey across land and sea.
