Thanks for visiting our little corner of the internet!
One wintry evening in South London, we decided to act upon our passion for travel and book a one-way flight to Australia. Nine months later, we embarked on a new adventure with limited budgets, loose plans and countless ideas.
After travelling Western Australia and Bali for two months, we started working in Sydney and saved $20,000 in six months. We're now travelling our way back to London and we have exciting plans in store for travel in 2017.
We are mid-range travellers who love to experience the world in different ways, sometimes swapping a cheap hostel stay and street food meal for a luxury hotel and fancy restaurant. As strong advocates for the outdoors, you'll often find us swimming in the ocean, meandering forest paths and exploring mountain landscapes.
Our website includes honest reviews and practical advice to help you maximise your time and money.
We hope that our writing and photographs will inspire you to make your own journey across land and sea.
After a three-week trip to Ghana with a volunteering group in my first year of university, I had caught the travel bug. I relaxed on the Cape Coast, lived with locals in Kumasi and saw wild elephants at Mole National Park - which was truly incredible! After finishing my Masters, I took the opportunity to travel the world and create Across Land & Sea.
We met whilst studying at Loughborough University and have enjoyed travelling together ever since. After graduation we moved to London, where we went to the theatre at least once a week and started ballroom dancing! After living and working in the capital for two years, we decided to take a year off to travel.
I was inspired to travel after hearing about grandma's trips to far flung places - she's just got back from North Korea! Before university, I completed a ski season in France and travelled to Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Since then I have enjoyed seeing Malaysia, Singapore, Eastern Europe and I look forward to documenting our world trip online.
